Granted, I needed a new seat pocket bracket and the rear bumper needed some mending after a moronic lady tried to park beside me. But that is way too much, I know it doesn't seem much but with the dollar at 1/3, it was around BRL5000.

I'm really beginning to like the look of the Tribeca. I think I am going to try and talk my mom into a lower priced used one to go along with her Volvo S60

Is this a common car in Brazil?

No, and that is the only reason why I got it. (That and a 2 year payment plan that matched what was left of the warranty)

The interior is the main selling point, it is quite a nice place to be.

Well, I did pay $30k for it.

Hey! I just spent $897 on the 60,000 mile service (plus a couple things) of my Subaru (Impreza). Thanks for making me feel better about that.

I like the fact that even the newest models of the Tribeca have 2005 technology, which means I wouldn't have to teach my mother how to use the radio. As it is with her volvo, it has been quite a hassle teaching her how to work this complicated mess of buttons and dials.

I like the classic 1st gen Tribecas (yeah, with the winged open grill) and the interior was beyond awesome but I also remember this was back when gas was rapidly climbing and the Tribeca is always a thirsty beast, so I never quite pulled the trigger.
